Perhaps you bought that hybrid vehicle because you care about the environment and at the same time want to save money on gas, but there is some evidence to suggest that "going green" may cost you more in fines.
A recent study of insured motorists found that owners of one hybrid car, the Toyota Prius, had 0.38 violations for every 100,000 miles driven. The average for non-hybrid cars was only 0.23.
The study did not say how many of those citations were for speeding. Many faster drivers wonder how many of those citations were for the Prius driver failing to move to the right out of the fast lane when other vehicles were approaching.
Whether you drive a hybrid vehicle or not, you need an experienced traffic ticket attorney to help you fight your ticket, keep the points off your license and your insurance costs down.
